_Colonel Alexandre Saliba Sales returns to the municipality, receives support from Mayor Marden, and takes over the unit responsible for 10 cities in the region._
Trindade has a new commander at the 16th Regional Command of the Military Police (16th CRPM). Colonel PM Alexandre Saliba Sales returns to the municipality to assume command of the regional unit, based in the city and responsible for policing an area that also includes Santa Bárbara de Goiás, Nazário, Palmeiras de Goiás, Cezarina, Varjão, Abadia de Goiás, Aragoiânia, Campestre and Guapó.
Mayor Marden Júnior received Colonel Saliba in the Trindade City Hall office on Wednesday morning (August 12). Also participating in the meeting were municipal secretaries Lieutenant Juliano Reis (Public Security); Rouane Azevedo (Social Assistance); Michel França (Communication); the deputy commander of the 16th CRPM, Lieutenant Colonel Cruvinel, and Majors Gouthier, Batista, and Roberta.
During the meeting, Mayor Marden Júnior welcomed the new commander and highlighted the importance of integration between the municipality and the Military Police to strengthen public safety actions.
“Colonel Saliba, Trindade welcomes you back with open arms. Together, let’s ensure that our Trindade continues to become safer for our population every day. Count on our Monitoring Center to strengthen this partnership in security through the use of technology,” stated the mayor.
**Return to Trinity**
This is not the first time Colonel Saliba has served in Trindade. The officer previously commanded the 22nd Military Police Battalion, a unit operating in the central region, and now returns to the municipality to assume a strategic position in the regional command.
At the head of the 16th CRPM, Saliba will have the support of Lieutenant Colonel Cruvinel, the unit’s deputy commander. The 22nd Battalion will be commanded by Majors Gouthier and Batista, while the 23rd CIPM, responsible for the eastern region, remains under the leadership of Major Roberta.
The new commander highlighted his commitment to the mission and thanked everyone for the trust placed in him to lead the unit.
“With faith in God and in the mission, we assume command of the 16th Regional Command of the PMGO (Military Police of Goiás). I thank the institution’s command for the opportunity, Mayor Marden for believing in our work, and Colonel Maximiliano for the services rendered at the head of the regional command,” Saliba pointed out.
The colonel also highlighted the importance of the Integrated Intelligence and Monitoring Center of Trindade, which uses technology to support security forces and expand their capacity for prevention and response to incidents in the municipality.
**Experience in specialized units**
With over 18 years of service as an officer in the Goiás Military Police, Alexandre Saliba Sales has experience in various strategic areas of public security. Throughout his career, he has commanded units such as the Shock Battalion (BPMChoque), the Rural Battalion, the Cerrado Operations Command (COC), and the Special Missions Command (CME).
At the head of the CME, Saliba commanded specialized troops of the PMGO, including the Special Operations Battalion (BOPE), the Shock Battalion, the Air Patrol Group (GRAER), and the Canine Policing Battalion.
The officer holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (PUC Goiás), specializing in Public Security Management and Criminal Analysis, as well as an MBA in Strategic and Competitive Intelligence and an MBA in Public Security Intelligence.
Saliba also has experience in the academic and professional training field, having worked as a professor at the Military Police Academy of Goiás, the Goiás Public Security Secretariat, the National Public Security Secretariat, and the Goiás Postgraduate Institute (Ipog).
**Integration through security**
The arrival of the new commander reinforces the proposal to expand integration between the Municipality of Trindade and the security forces, especially through the sharing of information, the use of technology, and joint action in the prevention and combating of crime.
With the headquarters of the 16th CRPM located in Trindade, the municipality maintains a strategic position in coordinating public security actions throughout the region.
