The unit has the capacity to serve up to 250 children; Mayor Marden Júnior and Secretary Sergio Sanches emphasize that the new Cmei practically eliminates the shortage of places in the central region.
The Municipality of Trindade inaugurated, on the morning of this Friday (07/08), the Elza de Freitas Early Childhood Education Center, located in the Cristina II Sector. The new unit represents an important advance for early childhood education in the municipality, expanding the availability of places and guaranteeing higher quality service to families in the region.
With the capacity to serve up to 250 children, the new Cmei (Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education) will help reduce the waiting list for places in early childhood education, benefiting residents of the Cristina II sector and neighboring neighborhoods.
During the ceremony, Mayor Marden Júnior highlighted the importance of the delivery for the community.
“This inauguration means a lot to this community, to these people who have been waiting for this project for several years. Now we have a Cmei (Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education) with the capacity to serve up to 250 children, which further expands our availability of places and practically eliminates the waiting list for early childhood education in the central region. It is a unit that generates more dignity for our children, built with great care and zeal, because our children deserve all respect and attention,” the mayor pointed out.
The municipal secretary of Education, Sergio Sanches, emphasized that the project had been stalled for several years and was completed by the current administration.
“This is a project that was stalled for several years and is now being delivered by Mayor Marden Júnior’s administration, just like so many others. For a region that didn’t have a Cmei (Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education), this investment represents an immense benefit for the population at this stage of education. In addition to serving the Cristina II Sector, the unit will also benefit the entire region, where we will practically eliminate the shortage of places,” stated the secretary.
The opening of the Elza de Freitas Early Childhood Education Center reinforces the commitment of the Municipality of Trindade to education, by offering a modern, safe and well-equipped structure to provide a learning and development environment for the children of the municipality.
